Key things to look out for when vintage shopping
1. Quality of garment
Check that the piece has no tears, zippers still work and that the fabric is still in good condition. Also check key areas of the garment like under the arms for extra marks and stitching problems.
2. Price
Vintage clothing can cost extra but key things to look at too make sure you arent being ripped off is if the garment is in perfect conditon, if you are buying a fur what kind of fur it is? rabbit is the cheapest fur you can buy, check if its real.
3. What era is it from?
check the label for the original garment tag, this will say alot about the garment- do your research. Know some labels from back in the day like Nicole, St Michaels from England. This can also influence the price of the garment.
Have fun with it, never take vintage shopping to seriously, it is meant to be exciting and it is great when you find that one piece of clothing that is so unique that you know no-one else will have, well not in this decade anyway.
